Moto Jacket Love

Hello everyone!

Today's outfit is inspired by the ever so slowly warming temperatures here in Colorado! Just kidding its still super cold out here but its not so bad when the sun is out. I recently bought this Liz Lisa moto (or biker's) jacket used from their autumn collection a couple years ago and loved it so much I couldn't wait to take pictures of it!

Chic meets kawaii (OOTD)

Hello everyone! ♡

I wanted to talk about my current style and a few things I've been loving for winter. I feel like an entirely different person (in terms of fashion) when it comes to winter. When the weather starts getting colder, I think of pearls, gold jewelry, warm beautiful jackets, and just pure glam. Looking back on my Instagram feed (@xsakisaki) I've noticed that over the past several years I've always felt this way about winter. Maybe it's because when I think of winter fashion, I picture the beautiful women in the 1950s in New York with their glamorous coats and leather handbags walking through snowy streets. Not to say this this style is anywhere near that, but I do feel a bit more "glam" and less "kawaii" like my normal style nowadays. I am still experimenting and playing around with mixing more cute and kawaii fashion by wearing the Japanese brands that I love such as Liz Lisa or Ank Rouge, with more high street, or luxury pieces to satisfy my need for glam while still staying true to my style.

Jacket - Dress: Liz Lisa | Bag: Saint Laurent | Shoes: Chinese Laundry | Watch: Olivia Burton

With that in mind, I tried to pick out the more versatile pieces that I have in my Liz Lisa collection that aren't overly cutesy. I settled on this knit sweater dress that I got last year and paired it with this Liz Lisa moto jacket from this year's autumn collection. I think that sweater dresses are super cute and on the more mature side, just because you can dress them up and look really posh. The floral details add a bit of cuteness to the design in my opinion so this was definitely the right choice for the look that I was going for! The jacket for me was a no brainer since firstly, I've been wearing it non stop ever since I received it and secondly, I love the gold zips and the gold details all around the jacket. I think gold is a really glamorous and beautiful color and much prefer it over silver. The gold also matches on my watch and on the chain of this beautiful Saint Laurent purse.

Sad to say, I bought this purse from Saint Laurent a couple weeks ago and soon after returned it. In pictures it looks like this beautiful blush pink color with a striking white trim, however, I was disappointed in the way that it looked in person. I love muted blush pinks for winter but this purse ultimately did not capture my heart (and if I'm spending that much money on something, I want to be 100% in love with it). That being said, I do love the design and looking at these pictures now makes me miss this little thing, so we will see what happens in the future...

The last part of my outfit are these AMAZING boots. I went to Macy's at the start of their Black Friday just to have a look around and came across these gorgeous boots. I have had my eye on a couple of pairs of boots for the winter and of course I've been lusting after ones such as the Stuart Weitzman ones, so after a hard and long 5 minute internal debate with myself I decided to get these over the knee boots from Chinese Laundry. I've always heard of this brand but have never bought anything from them before. The things I like about these boots is that they are super form fitting and flattering. I tried on a few pairs that were either too baggy or too short but I felt like these ones were the perfect height. Originally I wanted to get light grey boots but after seeing this tan/beige/nude color I thought that this would suit my style a lot better! I am still looking out for grey ones but these will satisfy me for the time being!

I hope you liked this look and enjoyed hearing a little bit of ins ight to my winter fashion sense! Let me know if you like this look and especially how you feel about it compared to my normal "super kawaii" looks!

Sweet Bear Coordinate (OOTD Feat. Liz Lisa & Bobon21)

Hello everyone!

Today I thought I would share with you this set of photos I took a while back with this cute coordinate! I feel like even though I posted a lot of these pictures on Instagram already, I thought it would be nice to show you them in high quality and talk about the outfits as well per usual!

Dress - Shoes - Bag - Socks: Liz Lisa | Jacket: Bobon21 | Sunglasses: BP

When I look at this outfit I think "going back to school" meets kawaii adult... whatever that means haha. The first thing that I wanted to mention was this really cute Liz Lisa backpack. I wanted it immediately after I saw it- I love the big bow detail on the top of the bag! Its such a cute added extra detail and it makes the bag so unique. I also love the embroidered Eiffel Tower on it, but then again for some reason I am OBSESSED with any french motifs (especially the Eiffel Tower) on clothing!

If you look closely, I accidentally buttoned the straps on each shoe differently! One is crisscrossed and one is just straight. Oh well! I just love all the small details on every Liz Lisa item. Take these socks for example- the lace is just so detailed and perfect and not to mention there is a huge bow with a tiny rose on the side of the socks! Thats one of my favorite things about Liz Lisa clothing- the more you look the more you'll find something in the print or pattern that you missed before! On this dress there are little teddy bears wearing princess crowns and I just die on the inside whenever I see it- its just TOO adorable.

I initially thought with my hair, accessories, dress and jacket that my whole coordinate would be too pink, but I actually think it worked out really well! I like how there is darker pink in my bag, shoes and hair, but then my main pieces are more of a white/light pink. I think the two shades of pink compliment each other really well and that its not too overpowering! Although I am biased since I LOVE pink and can't get enough...

Thats all I have for now for this post! All of the Liz Lisa items featured here are from the current 2017 Autumn collection and ON SALE! If you want to check out these items please follow my links!

Princess Off Duty (OOTD +Inspiration)

Hello everyone!

Today I thought I would talk a little bit about this unique look I put together a few weeks ago that I am extremely happy about. I describe it as a "princess off duty" look mainly because of the "nightwear-esque" look of the slip dress and the shoes. It makes me feel like I am a glamorous princess who was about to go to bed, but decided she needed to hit the town for a few hours before heading off to dreamland. This look was heavily inspired by instagrammer @shiiperooo who is a staff member of Swankiss in Shibuya 109, as well as different aspects of the sub styles larme, fairy-kei and harajuku fashion in general.

Blouse: Ank Rouge | Slip: Ank Rouge | Skirt: Honey Cinnamon | Shoes: Honey Cinnamon | Bag: Liz Lisa

The reason I wanted to write this blog post was to share my inspiration behind how I decided on the pieces for this look, as well as share some tips on how to draw inspiration from other people without exactly copying them. As I previously mentioned, this look was inspired by @shiiperooo on Instagram. I have seen her pictures so pop up so many times on my instagram feed, and I am always fascinated by her girly and unique looks. Although she does work for the brand Swankiss, she also mixes quite a few brands together when creating her looks (such as Liz Lisa).

This was the photo that I took the most inspiration from. The main piece on shiiperooo's outfit is the suspender skirt from Swankiss which was sold out by the time I went looking for it. However, instead of trying to find the exact piece second hand I decided to browse through different brands that might carry something similar. This lead me to find this beautiful slip dress from Ank Rouge. Even though the overall piece was completely different, I felt that the underlying concept was the same- a sheer tulle-type material that can be layered over a dress or a skirt-top combo.

After I found this slip dress, I began playing around with different combinations of dresses, skirts and tops to see what would go well underneath the slip. I don't have many tops, but I definitely knew that I wanted to use one of my short sleeves ones, since the sleeves of the slip were shorter than 3/4 length and wearing a long sleeve shirt would be out of the question. I decided on this Ank Rouge top that I wear quite frequently, along with this semi form fitting skirt from Honey Cinnamon. I love how the ruffles on the skirt compliment and tie in the ruffles from the slip dress so that is why I chose this skirt.

When it came down to deciding what to wear on my feet, I knew hands down that I wanted to wear this beautiful furry pair from Honey Cinnamon with the cute bows on the side. Again, this shoe choice was also inspired by shiperoo when I saw this picture on her Instagram. Her pair were from Swankiss, but I had previously bought these shoes from Honey Cinnamon which looked really similar so I decided to use mine for this look.

There was really no reason in particular I chose to pair this Liz Lisa bag with my outfit, other than the fact that I was absolutely IN LOVE with this purse and thought that it went with everything, so I decided that even though there were already a lot of pinks going on in this coordinate, the pink from this Liz Lisa bag went really well with the lighter pinks of the look. I also decided to add this Ank Rouge pom charm to the front of the bag as well to tie in the furry-ness of the shoes.

By combining different aspects of shiiperooo's outfits and adding my own choices, I think that I successfully drew inspiration from her look without copying it 100%. I believe that it is natural to want to copy your favorite fashion influences, but at the same time I also believe in putting my own twists to my coordinates. Generally when I am looking to get inspiration (especially if its a style I don't normally wear, aka if it is not a Liz Lisa outfit), I will usually look at pictures of the outfits I like, and then find similar pieces in my wardrobe. For example, if I didn't happen to find the Ank Rouge slip dress I would probably find a long tulle skirt to wear with one of my Ank Rouge tops. There are so many places to buy items that can be used in J-fashion, you don't always have to shop from Japanese brands!

I am thinking I will do a post or a video showing different items you can buy at stores like Forever 21, H&M, etc that can be used in J-fashion- I wonder if that would be interesting? Please let me know if you would be interested!

That's all for this post- I hope you enjoyed seeing more pictures of this outfit and where I got my inspiration from!

A New Kind of Classy (feat. Eat Me, Liz Lisa & More)

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you this more sophisticated look that I created using a mix of Japanese fashion brands and also share with you some insight on how I choose items and coordinate outfits! As you may know I have been experimenting with mixing brands and trying to come up with different ways to coordinate my Liz Lisa items with my other Japanese fashion items and I am pretty proud of this outfit!

Dress: Eat Me | Coat: Liz Lisa | Bag: Accessorize | Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell | Socks: no brand | Sunglasses: BP

As autumn is quickly approaching, I am getting to break out my coats that I've had tucked away for months. I bought this Liz Lisa trench coat last spring but didn't get a chance to wear it much throughout the spring and summer months as we had a rather hot, so I was SO excited to be able to wear it now. I think that a trench coat is just so classy and a great stable to have in any wardrobe as they are so easy to coordinate and can go with almost any outfit.

This EATME dress came with two ribbons that you can choose from- a dark red one and a black one but I chose to wear this black one because I knew I wanted to pair this outfit with my black Mary Jane style shoes that I have from Jeffrey Campbell. Because there is black on the top and bottom of my coordinate I think that it doesn't overwhelm the pastel color of the dress and instead adds a really classy accent to the overall outfit.

The bag that I chose to go with this outfit is this really cute satchel that I bought second hand on eBay.co.uk (with the help of my friend @hopeykitty on Instagram). I think it matches the classy but preppy feel of the outfit that you get from the dress (and it helps tie in the coordinate by adding to the almost school girl feel as well). There is a common misconception that you HAVE to coordinate your shoes and bag together, but because I already balanced out the black color with the ribbon like I mentioned previously, I decided just to try and match the classy/preppy theme of the outfit when choosing this bag. The bag also has beige and pink tones which match my coat and hair really well!

That is all for how I chose to coordinate this outfit! I hope you enjoyed reading about my thought process and I hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures!

Thank you for reading!

Three Winter Outfits

Hello lovelies !

I've decided to change the layout and format of my blog posts because I want to step up my game in the internet world. Of course, that would require me actually getting on the internet every once in a while but I've been trying!

Winter is in full force here, although there are some nice bright days. My problem with winter is how do I balance layers and still show off some skin and look cute? My answer to this problem is crop tops. I bought a lot of long sleeved crop tops and pair them with cute patterned skirts. I try to avoid black during the winter as well because it is my immediate "go to" color when its cold outside, but I don't want to wear black every day! So I try to add bright colors with a few black items.

Here are some outfits that I put together. Enjoy!

Now I Remember Why I Have This Blog

...Because it's not like anyone else but me reads it, I'M JUST SO BORED WHEN I COME TO THAILAND. I'm pretty sure about 90% of my posts in here are written when I'm stuck in this country, bored out of my mind because all I get to do it follow my parents around while they do things and I'm just bored.

Well I'm bored when we aren't shopping. Or eating. So it's half and half really.

I've been here for a little over a week and I'll be here for one more week before I go to Japan. So overall, I'll be away from home for a month. Japan will be awesome because I'm travelling around to see my friends and I'm just super super mega excited! :D

Anyways, what I've been up to in Thailand is just mostly eating and shopping, so this post will be about that. Yes that's all I do with my life when I'm not in school or at work. Eat and shop.

Sooooooo.. As usual... This was my outfit today!

Yes very sad little mirror pictures because I don't really have a camera anymore. Or the patience to take good pictures. Ha.

The coordinate looks like this without me: (which makes it seem cuter, yes I know xD)

(Pink polka dot skirt- shop in Thailand, Pearl beaded necklace- Forever 21)

(Small pouch purse- Forever 21)

IT'S NOTHING SPECIAL. Because I've given up on looking good. I've started wearing less accessories and when I finally get around to buying some I wear the same ones with literally every outfit. You'll see when I post another coordinate here.

Besides clothes, I usually splurge on getting all deco-ed out with phone cases and nails. So here is a phone case that I recently had made for me. It cost about 20$USD so really not too bad for a customized case. The little doll reminded me of well, me, so I put it on there :D

I also bought some more phone cases that were like under 10$USD. So cheap ugh I just wanted to buy everything. Not having an iPhone sucks because there aren't BILLIONS of phone cases to choose from anymore! So I had to settle for buying 3....

As for my nails, I didn't go full out deco on them like I usually do, mostly because I want to save some money to buy stuff in Japan but also because I don't think I could wear them anymore without being annoyed. Well I probably could put up with it for how cute they are usually so mostly because I don't want to be broke in Japan xD I did however use gel instead of acrylic so the polish will last long without being too bulky on my fingers!

Just polka dots, nothing complicated.

*****

So some serious time. Being away really makes me go crazy sometimes because I'm left alone with just my thoughts and it is kind of a double-edged sword, so to speak. Its nice because I'm never alone back home and I'm always running around doing something, and being able to enjoy myself and rediscover who I am and what I like is amazing. BUT of course, I'm also really emotional, attached, and cant handle change so it also makes me a little mental. I miss my friends, colorado air, and being able to drive around and go wherever I want to. I seriously had a mental breakdown because I was so homesick. Why cant I just enjoy lifeeeee. But fuck it. I'm just going to brush my hair and not think about the world.

So with that I will leave with a picture of my face and my pretty newly cut hair.

Ahhhaaaaaaa I look like I'm trying to smile like Tsubasa Masuwaka. With the lips thing.

... Or not. She's so cute I can't even. THERE'S NO USE COMPARING UGH.

Anyways,

Goodnight. Saki out.
